Been riding a 29er Single Speed Rigid for a while now, for what it is .... it's fast, so the next step for me is a geared 29er with front suspension. Thinking Gary Fisher X-Caliber, weight is around 12.5kg, components ok, forks nice, price: $2300? Been told I can test ride, any recommendations...

Hi all, Ive got a 2010 Gary Fisher Hifi Deluxe. It has these monstrous (700mm+) flat bars with a sweep of 12 degrees sweep (or 17 depending on which specs you read). I've only ridden the bike once, and yeah they feel weird, but not unrideable...But surely there is some logic to having them in...

Got my rims, got my hubs, now all I need is a gun wheel builder to build me up a strong set of wheels. Who's been building strong wheels lately. I'm in the Newcastle area, but get down the freeway to Sydney for work regularly.

I keep reading how heavy these wheels are, but with no actual figures. So, how heavy are they? Is the weight justified through extra strength, or are they weak? Also, anyone have any experience with TWE 29er wheels? Especially if you are around 100kg.
