I know that sometimes they set off the canons down at albatross and you get a huge bass-rumbling "Boooooom' go through the house that makes the windows rattle. Kind of like that?

Ok, sat morning sounds great.

I'm used to riding a geared roadbike doing fast 20-30km rides, but that's more to do with time constraints than anything. I've ridden up to 100km at more leisurely paces. As for fixed, I've just moved to Hobart and picked up a surly fixed gear. I've only done a handful of rides on it so far. Rode out past Taroona and up the sizeable hill past the shot tower and managed ok. Continuing out that way are there many more hills? Other than that, I've only ridden the cycleway, and around the city etc.

Ideally it's flatter routes for me but I'm up for whatever you're doing. I'm keen to tackle some longer rides if that's what you're used to. If you're too fast or the hills are insane, I'll just drop off and ride home. No big loss :)

noticed you're in Hobart and do some road riding. Are you still looking for people to ride with? I'm riding fixed but can keep 20-30km/h averages, depending on the hills :) I'd like to have someone to ride with occassionally but I'm probably not fast enough to join one of the early morning Dome rides etc.
