Yeah I personally haven't watched it,
But one of my mate's has and he told me it's a bit boring....
The trailer seems to be epic, is it worth to go get it?

    Default Definitely worth the purchase

F1rst is one of the better DH movies. It is well edited and contains good footage. I've watched it so many times.

It is one of the few movies that focuses on actual downhill racing instead of wanky scenes of guys riding in picturesque scenery not really doing anything special.

It does provide you a good insight of what goes on at world cup racing and has all the best riders.

    Highly recommend it!

Has anyone else noticed the fantastic grammar and spelling on the home page.

It says "F1RST is Clay Porters latest creating."

I had really high hopes for this movie and to be honest I was a little bit disappointed.

The riding and the filming was absolutely top notch and I liked the idea of the film and hearing in depth interviews with most of my favourite riders was great but the thing that annoyed me was the music, it was like he spent so much money and energy on the filming and editing the footage that he only had enough money left over to get the copyright license for about three songs that he just used over an over again.

There was this really annoying theme he kept putting in that sounded like nursery music with these little chimey sounds that kept popping up again and again, that combined with his boring, monotone, deadpan voice started to drive us all mental towards the end and we would've turned the sound off altogether and chucked in a cd if it wasn't for the rider interviews giving us little insights here and there into their approach to racing and their midset etc.

I think what makes movies like what the Collective put out so good is that there are more people having an input into things and throwing a few more ideas about.
Maybe Clay Porter should stick to the filming and editing as that is what he obviously excels at but get somebody else in to do the music and sound.

Getting somebody well respected in the scene who has a bit of personality to do the narration would be kick arse as well, not anyone over the top like Cedric Gracia but imagine how good it would be to have Steve Peat doing the voice over! It would be funny as fuck and would add so much to the overall credibility I reckon! Maybe when he retires......which won't be anytime soon I hope

^I agree on the narrating. I reckon it would have been better if Clay had let the rider interviews tell the story. I imagine it would have required a lot more editing and possibly some scripted interviews but it would have more effective imho.
