Getting my kids name tattooed - need font suggestions.

The birth of our first child is pretty much going to happen any day now, and I am thinking about getting his/her name tattooed on me.

I know farkin has it's share of inked members, and I'm just chasing some good websites to see examples/fonts, that sort of thing.

    Cheers crew,

    Wellsey.

Edit: I've been googling for hours.

    Did you try this site?

    http://www.1001freefonts.com/

I've found it useful when i've needed fonts on that rare occassion.

It allows you to type in your text, and shows you a preview as to what it will look like...

    one little hint.

dont get it in letters which are 150mm high accross your back.

family friend did it, they now have 3 children, the other two have tiny little names tattoed under neath.. theres a few "favourite's" issues going on now that the kids are 3 5 and 6.

I'll be doing the same thing soon, just have to make my mind up about the design.
I am thinking old school bluebirds and his name in the old school type font.
    Sort of like this font:
    Dogs are the best people.

I Just googled fonts / tattoo and plenty of examples came up. I checked out a few, but my partner loves her art and designed one for me. This was original and better I think than some fonts on offer. Maybe you may know someone also that is good at drawing, and could ask them for some idea's. Hope this helps ,and all the best with the new baby.

www.dafont.com is a good website for free fonts too. Plus you can enter the name in when you search so it gives you a preview.

One thing wellsey and pete j,
think in terms of years down the track, what not looks hip now ie:tribal stuff or gothic type!
Get something nice and simple that will look good years down the track.
    Something bold, small and simple=helvetica!

Get a custom write up from a good artist. Don't bother with standard fonts.
