...and on the seventh day, God created singletrack...then later that night mountain bikers added some berms, a tabletop jump and some north shore...sweet !!

Default Day Zero - Rego is underway

Rego is open at the Man Hotel in Falls Creek and about half the riders have shown up so far. About 15% of the riders are international, so they should have some great Australian Bush stories to tell when they get home after a week of riding.

A photo album has been started here and I will add more throughout the event.

    Default Stage 1 Update

The race got underway on perfect weather at Falls Creek this morning. Its neck and neck at the front between Total Rush (Mark Fenner and Sam Bach) and BMC (Troy Bailey and Joel Donney). We're expecting the first finishers at about 1220.

A photo album has been updated with a few of the start and some mid-course happy snaps here.

    Default Stage 1 at 1340

We've had 6 teams in so far. The Total Rush team of Mark Fenner and Sam Bach took line honours and have a 5 minute lead on 2nd place in their category. KOM (Warren Burgess and Zoe King) first in Mixed Pairs and the Torq Triplets (Katherine O'Shea and Dean Clarke) first in the Open Threes.

Lots of reports of flats on the rocky sections and D_Mac had a derailleur mangle.

The photo album has been updated with a few finish photos.

Current results available for download below.
