I went to the Irish pub, and had couple of beers there on my own. Then went to my room and off to bed. No restaurants were open, I ended up having a kebab for dinner. ZZzzzzzzz.

damn, feeling the aftermath of the night now... managed to lose a nice ammount at the casino haha.
I was there and it was siiiick!
The Bourbon Bar was awesome and it was so cool to rub shoulders with some of my heroes and got some wicked photos and video footage and the place ended up packed as and everybody got super loose and yep....we drunk the place dry!
It all came crashing down for me though when we all got kicked out of the Union Bar. I was chatting to Nigel Page and doing some filming when the Cops showed up and overeacted MASSIVELY! We had been asked to leave and were on our way out and in high spirits when they stopped Nigel from going outside because he had a drink in his hand but then when he tried to down it the cops got all aggro for no reason and knocked it out of his hand, then when he protested they went nuts and started trying to crash tackle him and started hitting him which was waaay out of line. Meanwhile I was still filming it all and when they realised I had it all on tape one of them tried to snatch the camera of me so he could delete the incriminating footage. I wouldn't let them take it so they chucked us both in the back of the Paddy Wagon and left us in there for about 45 mins while they dicked around checking ID's etc.
I knew they were gonna try to take my camera again so I swapped the memory cards around with an empty one and told them that I'd deleted it all which seemed to please them so they eventually let us out. They were not polite and well mannered, these guys were dead set wankers and their heavy handed tactics and aggressive manner totally blew the situation out of proportion.
On the plus side though, it gave me a good chance to have a good chat and a laugh with Pagey in the back of the Paddy Wagon, the guys is a dead set legend!
I've still got the footage, I'm gonna email it to Nigel and post it up. Nice work guys, you got duped by my memory card switcheroony, I don't think you'll be making Detective anytime soon!

shame that the canberra night entertainment didnt really come to the game for a big closer but meh, Noone ever says Canberra is anygood for nightlife anyway.

Was there for a few quiet ones with a some mates before I flew back to Sydney, was thinkin the same thing, but alas he didnt show, dammit.....
Same old, same old, whinge, whinge, bash Canberra, see ya later. Sunday night, not real flash in Sydney or Melbourne either. Maybe when a club outside of Canberra can organise something, the World will go there. My two bobs worth, cheers Jack
i had a great night friday night after the 4x finals....too great to back it up for the rest of the weekend LOL went to o'malleys. my advice is stay smack bang in the middle of canberra, three of us stayed at the YHA, and the transit bar is underneath plus they make pizzas on request. all in all had the best weekend ive ever had in canberra.
