Seems like some people enjoy the company of their cars to their friends and family. The reading room with a single chair and a Ferrari takes the cake. They've probably even ripped the passenger seat out of the car!

I'd also suspect you'd need some mighty powerful bilge equipment under one of those underground garages. A decent Australian storm would see that style turn into a garden pond pronto.

Not sure how the people in sunny London solved it, but if they could we can I'm guessing.

Having seen major crush injury first hand, the only thing retarded about Australian standards regarding these is that they are not firm enough.
Bah, I have nothing to add, just felt like blowing hot air at toodles.

I don't want to derail the thread but seriously - Aussie Safety standards are so strict they're an industry joke. I very much doubt that any crush injury would be due to a failing of the standards, its more likely due to a failure to enforce them or execute them properly. The last thing this country needs is more knee-jerk tightening of safety requirements.

On the garage topic, I've always wanted a proper industrial-spec garage/toolshop with seamless epoxy flooring, proper lighting and the right tool for every job. Those "garages" aren't quite workshops, more just showcases for the vehicles.

I'd love to see a similar level of awesomeness for an actual garage/workshop. It's not hard to park a car in the loungeroom of a mansion and claim its an awesome garage.

True, but let other 'developed' countries laugh and let us kill less people per hour worked, I say.

That's a much better point than the one I failed to make.

Sorry to derail. I'll be quiet now and drool.

Yep, lets see a real working garage, not some prissy vanity garage.

(I do like the one with the checker floor)
