Default cheapest acreage in australia, where is it ? (10+)

hi guys, since this rotorburn site covers pretty much everywhere in aust i thought maybe some of you guys and gals could give me an idea of where some of this countries cheapest land is. what i am looking for is at least 10 acres, can be flat or hilly that does not matter. it is for getting away from the city and becoming a recluse from society so no near neighbours. heat or cold means nothing, all i am after is a block to root around on and the odd serial killing or 2 :D. but seriously all info would be great, cheers pp

hey bud go to local government land auctions, in country towns were you would wanna live they auction of dead estates, unpaid rate blocks and just standard land. im not saying its gonna be cheap land were your going but it will be a lot cheaper than buying at a realestate agent, it also depends on the property if its land locked (access) , has power, sewer, water, and location eg a property in the simpson dessert will be a hell lot cheaper than a small suburb in dubbo. also here is a website http://www.cheapcountryland.com/ there was a 26 acre block in clarence that i was looking at but it was landlocked it was 90000 or sumthing around that. depending where you look for land, always be ready to talk lower prices and haggle because sometimes the land can be really shitty and is not worth the asking price.

That website looks to be circa market value at best.

I'm no realo so I've got nothing really to contribute other than this.

10 acres? Seriously? You can't even swing a cat on 10 acres.

Just looked at a block 15km north of Bendigo. 176 acres for 90k.
Right next to a national park.
Thought it might have been a typo.
Got there. Pretty much a 176 acre brown snake farm.

If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is.

Which state are you looking to buy in?
There's always some good land up for sale around the flinders ranges area in SA. For example:
