    Default More server issues...

Just when you thought things were back to normal... you get more issues. It appears over the new year a hacker has gained access to the server and started using it for his/her own purposes causing the site to go down. I've spent quite a few hours trying to get rid of the damage but it appears that I haven't got everything.

The only real way to be 100% they can't get back in is to get another server, so that's what I'll be building up over the next couple days. Once this is done I'll transfer the site to the new location.

    Happy new year!

Damn, that's not good....Similar things have happened to www.mtbdirt.com.au, I think investing in some more sever security might be a wise move....

At least Farkins back now, Lets just hope those 1337 h4x0rs don't attack again.

Yes but then you have to track that, then you have to...., and so on and so on. It's not really that easy as far as I'm aware.

I hate spammers, scammers and hackers.

I used to work with a guy who was an absolute genius with Unix, Firewalls, networking etc. For a bit of a laugh he used to put servers up on the net that had no real purpose. When someone attempted to hack them they would automatically find the hacker's IP and launch massive Denial-of-service atacks on them. It was bloody funny to check the logs every morning.
