    Updated 11/6/06:

    Rat Rod Bike

    Name: Rat Pack
UPDATE: Time for a rebuild! Rear wheel re-painted. new rear tyre. whitewall naturally. New front tyre coming. front wheel also repainted. Pedals coming. Red dice air-caps. Polish bars maybe. Pinstripe and signwrite name on top tube. Leave frame hella ghetto. Cranks still need to go on and a chain and it's atleast rideable!

Project for me and my mates during holidays. Started with an abandoned mtb would you believe! cool mountain bike! was black and silver. but we decided rat rod would look better. Decided we definately needed a back pedal and thought 20" would be a cool option, so the wonky-as rear has been replaced with a 20"er, dead straight.

    Fixie

    Name: Pixie
Finally got this frame done! A year and a half worth of prepwork and it finally got painted and built! Fixie's are crazy, but crazy fun too. still hanging out for a brakelever so i can ride it with safety in mind.

Bennett Supersports 70's road frame. Sakae Road bars (polished lots). MTB grips. Sakae Stem (polished). el cheapo headset. Velocity DeepV wheelset. Kalloy Post (polished). Tioga DH saddle (very much a tempo thing). Sugino GT cranks 52x19 or 73" (soon to be 170mm Shimano 600's). Kyokuto pedals with Christophe clips. Vittoria Rubino and Zaffiro (not pictured on front) tyres. Tubes.

    700c Frame coming. In RAW!

    Bully BMX

    Name: Billy
My good friend billy carries me to the bus stop every day and to the pub to keep me safe from the grimey grimey northern beaches and the thug life that inhabits it. ATM only changes are the brake cable, messenger seat and rear Fit tyre. some Thugg decided to take to my bully with some yellow spray paint during a pub outing. plan now is an odyssey path for the front. repaint all chrome with matt black. keep it looking rough but tough, and i want to get it running like an absolute charmer.

    SS XC bike

    Name: Bumblebee
    New donor bike coming

    Retro BMX????

Aesthetically displeasing gift from dicky, or Retro BMX embryo??? not many plans yet. no gears or disc rotor any more though!

    there you go.

STP is looking great, have you thought about putting on gold spoke nipples? Or even gold pedals could look great.

which companies make gold pedals? I don't wanna over-do the gold. More white is going on, but i'm likely to get polished (chrome) pedals (NS Legeaters). I was gonna get gold nipples with my last wheel-build, but i've been told they arent as strong as standards, dunno. THe rear wheel was also gonna have silver spokes, but they ran out of stock in the size i wanted

Ok now I understand what colour shceme you are looking at building. There is a very wide range of gold pedals available some people even get theres anodised. I wasn't trying to tell you what to do, I just assumed you were making the whole 'gold parts' themed bike and was making some suggestions

gold chain was 24.95, had to order it from strictlybmx.com which is in melbourne. thanks for all the comments. I've taken as many links as i can out. the rest of the slack is taken up by my home made tensioner, which doesnt tighten perfectly, giving it a bit of sag. horizontal dropout frame on the way!
