Depends on what kind of marine paint, haha! International Paints, as an example - the 2 pak polyurethane stuff is TOUGH! If applied correctly, you'll also get a great gloss - doubt you'd even need a clear coat!

Careful with the misting though - that stuff is sticky! So make sure anything you don't want paint on is covered. Unlike the auto 2 pak, it doesn't dry as quickly in the air.

That said, my experience with both types of paints were in a very, very humid environment.

yeah, the lady said this stuff will have a great glossy finish. and it'll be tough as so yeah. hopefully it'll be okay!
my brother has painted with 2 pac before, so he knows how to go about it, but i think ill just empty most of the stuff out of the shed, and throw some old sheets over the stuff i cant move. that way i should be able to keep it reasonably clean. and i wont have to worry about wind, dust etc. its just a work shed, so it wont matter if it gets a bit of paint on the floor and that.
    thanks for your help mate

    Default problem with my primer

ok, I think I've made a huge mistake with my paint job...After reading a few posts I got carried away and started prepping my frame....

Unfortunately, in my excitement I did not read the fine print and did not let the primer on my frame dry before spraying colour...I reckon I left it for a maximum of 30mins...yeah I know, stoopid...

So whats going to happen to my paint job? Is it a write off?

FYI- i stripped the frame with paint stripper and cleaned with grease remover and used plastikote primer and colour

At the moment (36 hrs after) it looks great, but I'm worried it wont cure/will chip etc

    Whats the diagnosis?

    Thanks alot
