I really liked it:
Note sure where to put my suggestions and such but... From a listeners point of view.
Maybe have afew basic tech tips or something. Like howto put tubes in tyres properly eliminating the possibilty of pinching your tube whilst putting it in. Simple thing but it all helps.
And perhaps a dirtjump bike round up or something. I always hear about what dirtjump bike to buy on the forums, 'Should I buy an stp or blah blah blah' Perhaps suggest the positives and negatives of some of the dirtjump bikes.
What else...
And perhaps a little bit more music imbetween the commentary. Maybe bump it upto 3-4 bits of music instead of 2. What about a vote for the music that will be presented. I,e a week before the show starts get 10 or so different pieces of music and get different farkin members to vote for music.
Possibly talk about why other bikes are more expensive than others. The geometry and specifications ect. The decreasing cost in bike parts, what it will do to the industry?
Perhaps a section on the importance of geomoetry and what it means. i,e Low bottom bracked alows you to corner better but you have a much hihger chance of cranking it whioch would allow the listeners to make a much more educated choice about which bike to buy.
Interviews... PErsonally I would like to here from some of the higher members of farkin, and people who really know their shit. Perhaps get grip to have a talk on frame maintanence and frame repair.
PErhaps a section on bike maintainence. Basic stuff to check out after every ride, What type of chain lube to get. Importance of cleaning the bike.
Anyway,
Afew suggestions I have.
Great show I really enjoyed it.
Cheers,
Chris
I'm liking this - although I find that I get bored mid-way through sections, if you feel like it maybe try and speed up the pace of the show a little bit. I'll still listen to it if it stays as is, but it'd be nice if it was a bit more energetic.
Scratch - doing a great job with this mate, I'm super impressed. It must take a lot of work to sort out interviews and pick the music, so a big props!

Great to hear all the feedback.
The music is a pain in the arse. I have to download stuff and 95% I don't like. Finding two songs takes me about an hour all up. Any more music per episode will require input from you guys.
I'm wanting to do sections as Plow King mentioned, I've got a bit of a back catalog of interviews. If I wait too long they will loose their relevance, so for the moment I'm trying to fit the program around that. Do you guys find the interviews too long? I want to ask all the questions but editing it would take a lot longer (hopefully I will get better at both editing it and interviewing).
What about asking the members of farkin what they woudl nlike to know about the people you are interviewing. Instead of just winging it. I,e that 'monster 3' question was abit irrelivant. After all its the public your making the show for, so why not make them a part of it?
Also with the editing. Perhaps edit out bits that add nothing to the show like the bit where you say 'Are you there Sam,Sorry about that' It Just makes the show seem less professional and there is no real need for it to be in the show.... The shorter the interviews are the more your going to hold peoples attention. Now mind you im barely a radio editor so I'm just speaking from a listeners point of view.
As for the music. just get people to mail in suggestions or post in the thread.
IMO I wouldn't mind hearing to Iron Maiden - 2 Minutes to midnight.
Anyway hope that helpls.
Cheers,
Chris
