The Australian MTB community has suffered a great loss with former World 24hr Solo Champion James Williamson passing away during the Cape Epic Mountain bike race in South Africa.
According to South African newspaper Cape Argus, James was taken to hospital after his teammate, Sean Lewis, had been unable to wake him on the morning after the 2nd stage of the race. He was pronounced dead at 6.47am local time.
The MTB community sends its best wishes for all his friends and family.
