2011 Jet Black QLD State Champs - Results & Wrap Up

Well the dust has now started to settle on the weekend for the 2011 Jet Black State Champs. The village was a slow moving beast with a few riders dropping through on Friday to come and check out the track. There was great anticipation in the air, and no-one expected what was to come next.

Awaking at the venue at 5:00am on Saturday, with a queried look, “was that thunder?” and we were quickly on the BOM Radar to check things out. Through our research we could see the storm was going to hit Brisbane and but only pass through the event village. The rain started at around 6:30am. Riders started arriving, and through some positive encouragement from our shuttle bus, made their way to the event village and our first race got underway at 9:15am, once the thunder and lightning had stopped. The rain ceased for our 10am start, and everything was back on schedule, including shuttles for the Downhill.
