Represent! Christmas is the time of giving and what would be more fitting that giving back to the sport that gives you so much? We have 4 issues on the horizon. Sign up for all or just pick one. Don't just sit on your arse and whine though.

Issue 1: MITCHAM;
Mitcham Council will vote on the 13th of December on the Draft MTB plan to put legal DH,XC and FR trails in 9 areas. We've been lucky enough to have a pro-active council who are forward thinking enough to see the benefits of managing MTBing rather than banning. It's looking bright for MTBing in the area, but we can't be complacent and the MTBing community needs to support the council, nothing would be sadder than the legal trails not getting up because the MTBing community couldn't be bothered showing their support for the plan. Email travis@bikefanatic.com to find out how you can help. We're particularly interested in people who live in the Mitcham area.

Issue 2: EAGLE QUARRY; When's it going to open to the public? Coming from the warped minds of Trails Solutions Australia which employ some of Adelaides most talented trail builders, the DH run alone will blow peoples minds. If/When it is complete this will be a world class facility. The future is in your hands. There has been no ongoing commintment by the current government to open this facility, sure maybe talk, but as the saying goes "Money talks, Bullshit ......" again email: travis@bikefanatic.com to find out how you can help.

Issue 3: TRAIN RUNS; With the weather fining up and school holidays the trains from Mitcham to Belair will be under increasing strain. A viable solution would be to put on more carriages to cope with the demand, but it seems Trans Adelaide would prefer just to simply refuse riders entry onto trains. Want to get this changed? Again email travis@bikefanatic.com to find out how you can help. If you are out doing runs with your mates and you get bumped. Please lodge a complaint. It's one of the few ways that things will change.

Also, let the Minister for Transport know of the issue. Perhaps asking why youth engaging in healthy activity are constantly being discouraged from exercising by the government.

Issue 4:ANTSEY HILL RESERVE; North of the city out Tea Tree Plaza way there is a draft plan underway to put some legal trails in. Submissions close December 15th for this plan and we need people submit feedback supporting the plan, so it can go to the next stage. It will take 5 minutes out of your life, we've done all the work for you, but without support at this stage, it will never get off the ground.

The plan is long, but here's the link: http://www.environment.sa.gov.au/par...p_draft_mp.pdf

2 options;
1 - Write your own quick letter supporting the plan.
2 - Cut and Paste this drafted letter inserting your name

Either way, make sure you email it to:
irving.jason@saugov.sa.gov.au

If you've done one/all of the above, well done some Christmas cheer coming your way this year.
