I have been listening to a lot more myself and I have a couple for you.

Sweatshop Union
Swollen Members
Tru-paz
Dilated People
Army of the Pharoahs
RJD2 (Only some songs)

Now most of them aren't the best, but these artists have some really good songs, mainly off New World Disorder and "The Collective" movies. If you would like the actual song names, PM me. :D

MF Doom
Dr Octagon
Bus Driver
Pigeon John
Ugly Duckling
Lyrics Born

Should get you started.

I won't even mention Aussie hiphop acts. If you can't find any Aussie hiphop acts to listen to on your own, you're not really trying!

I like some different hip hop.. here are some of them. Might not be to your taste though.

Move.Meant
Atmosphere - The Arrival, Little Man
Talib Kweli
Common
Mos Def
Brother Ali
Pharoah Monch - a fair bit different, some of his stuff has a church/soul vibe?
Yungun & Mr Thing
Nas
Matisyahu (jewish guy)
Ugly Duckling
Bus Driver - Damn thats a cool song

The usual Aus stuff...
TZU
Urthboy
Muph and Plutonic
Pegz
Scribe (NZ)
The Tongue
Herd
Bliss n Esso - Blazin, Mad Tight, Party at my place

So myspace and youtube are your friend.
Otherwise JJJ website, and check out the streams of the Hip hop show. Allways discovering cool stuff from there.

Yup, agree with everything NCR600 mentioned as well.

The title of this thread has been changed to read "Aussie Hip Hop" from just "HipHop" now hasn't it, or have I just had a brain fade?

The Culture of Kings albums would be a good introductory to Aus hip-hop. You get a mix of the best that way. The albums have been cycling through my stereo over the last two weeks or so.

Oh and as for Bliss n Eso, I don't really rate them. I think Bliss has brought too much of 'America' into their music.

+1 for Terra Firma

And don't forget our girls! Macromantics and dig up some old Maya Jupiter.

Edit: Groove terminator did a track with Kool Keith, can't remember the name but it rocks.

New to me is Astronomy Class saw them do a live set on MTV lair (foxtel) and the song they did was really good had the whole crowd going. Did my own research and will be checking out their debut album in the stores September. Only heard 2 songs from them and I liked them and yes they are Aussies.
