Dozer, would you recommend Fallout Vegas?

Was a big fan of Fallout 3, but I've heard Vegas is basically the same but with just a new variety of guns, a new map and campaign. In other words, the idea behind the game hasn't actually changed at all.
Yes, I recommend it. I also loved Fallout 3 and essentially new vegas is the same game but different setting, story etc. The little places you discover appear more frequently and damn, ghouls and raiders and convicts appear from nowhere more often as well! I haven't gotten anywhere near the Strip yet as I like to progress and thoroughly search every inch of the map so I can't say how much the game differs from Fallout 3 in a heavily populated area like the Strip just yet. So far, it is another chapter well worth getting if you like the Fallout series.

Buy it... so good.

PINT of Stella. mate!

Many, many Scotches
I had to restart Fallout New Vegas as the game save became corrupted. Yay............That means the last three titles I have bought have been full of shit bugs and glitches. It is high time these companies made me a tester for this type of crap.

Ouch, savage! Did you just have all your progress on one save file or did a whole heap corrupt? I'm usually saving manually as well as autosave to try and avoid shit like this.

You're bang on about the bugs and glitches. Red Dead Redemption was full of them. F1 2010 had just the one albeit soul-destroying and Fallout New Vegas is just completely f***ed. I'm getting a little bit pissed off with software manufacturers expecting us to pay $100 for products that aren't finished. If you were in an expensive restaurant and your food came out with half of it still defrosting and your waiter assuring you that "we will have the rest of your meal ready at intervals throughout the evening", you'd hit the roof, demand your money back and quite possibly stab the maitre'd in the eyes with a fork for being a cheeky twat!

Why the f*** are we expected to put up with this with games and gadgets? Are glitches, crashes and general slack-arsed workmanship now just to be expected in all software products? Personally, I blame Microsoft for this. They've been f***ing people over for so many years with crappy, faulty products that it's now just a given that you will need countless patches and software updates until it's rendered obsolete and you're forced to upgrade.

Bring on f***ing Skynet and the rise of the machines, I say! I'll take global annihilation anyday if thieving bastard programmers are the first up against the wall!

Maybe Skynet is already at work. That would explain the glitches and bugs..............
There was a point about three hours ago where I thought about buying Black Ops tonight. I then came to my senses and thought I'd buy a pizza instead.:p

Does anyone have thoughts on Burnout Paradise?
Picked it up from Big W for $20 and I definately got what I paid for. Gets old extremly quickly, the way the cars and things handle feels completely wrong, not worth it imho. Really enjoyed burnout on the psp but give this one a miss is my advice. I plan to use it as trade-in fodder.

Just finished the campaign in Black ops. It has its moments of awesome but generally its a pretty low quality game. Alot of glitches and terrible graphics, crap/predictable AI. It feels like a 2007 game... But hey, it has the best Call of duty storyline! really fun.

Probably knocked normal campaign over in 5hrs max. It's sort of a must buy if you like call of duty, not because its good but because its the latest. Rent black ops. finish single player, fart around online then go back to MW2....Maybe... i haven't played online but i got a feeling it's not going to be great, especially when EVERY gun except a silenced AUG sounds like a fire cracker.

Treyarch is definitely the worse out of the two developers. They need to slow down on popping these out every year and up the bar like Call of duty modern warfare did.

Hey guys, didn't think sniping would be good at all, but I was actually raking in some insanely good gameplay.
This is my first and ony sniper match on Black Ops, and even though Slight of Hand Pro isn't faster for snipers, I think I managed alright...

Be sure to watch the above, pretty cool little clip I think.
Can get some more detailed videos for you of the game, otherwise head to Machinima Respawn on Machinima and they have plenty of videos on that channel.

Telstra has finally reconnected my damanged phone line this morning, so I'm gong to give multiplayer a shot tonight. Worst timing ever for a truck to drive past and rip it out

Add me, will be more than happy to have a game or two, Xx-DMN8-xX
This guy has a lot of PSN accounts, one of them is tard_girls_rule_yeah. Another PSN he has is i_like_big_guys_in_my_mouth_a_lot . He gets his sister to talk on the headset while he shoots you on the game. Watch him, he's a snake!:p

So, I can get Black Ops on Xbox from Big W for $78. I can then go downstairs to EB Games and trade it for the PS3 version (doesn't look suss that way) and they give me $94 trade value this week. I get an additional 15% credit for my Edge card so I after they price match the Big W price of $78 and give me my extra $30 credit I can then place that on a Gran Turismo 5 pre order. It's pretty fucking tempting!

Why wouldn't you Dozer? You're getting a game for nothing, a decent one too, I reckon you'll like the wager matches as everyone is on the same playing field and can't camp with rockets and shit.

What's your PSN mate? Add me, will be more than happy to have a game or two, Xx-DMN8-xX

QuakeDude, you'll soon find out that the guys in this thread who join in on a few online matches are a bunch of dudes who enjoy a good chuckle. Don't take anything too seriously, just enjoy where it goes.;)

I'm steering towards a purchase. If the rain keeps going now and I don't go riding tonight I'll do the deal. If I choose to go riding and get all muddy then I'll spend the weekend cleaning my gear and won't have time to do anything except watch porn.;)

Ok so I've played a little bit of multiplayer, while i still don't think its better then MW2, its pretty fun. Wager modes are great! RCXD's are annoying, but so far there's been no troubles.

I suck arse more then usual though, Haven't played FPS on the PS3 in ages and i don't know any of the maps. I use the environment heaps to help with my shit house reflex

I'll be up for a game tomorrow night. My Average K/D ratio in an open game is around 1 so join in pro or no pro lol.

Yeah, I'm finding this a little....different. I think I prefer MW2 better, its faster and more punchy, but I'm warming up to it. I think its everything I wanted WAW to be, but never was. Even with one red bar of signal, I still managed to come first in one game, have no idea how :D At least it doesn't suck balls when signal isn't great.

Ended up playing some online zombies as well with the wife and a few mates, and that was awesome. Needs more maps though, being limited to the theatre map because one of my guys at work hasn't finished single player was a little repetative.

Got upto level 9, is there an overall leaderboard?? My team deathmatch KD ratio is up the shit because my first couple of games were woefull...It doesn't really matter but its something i keep trying to improve.

Little tip for bad signal, theres an option (somewhere) where you can choose to search for local servers first before world wide, or search for local servers only. I'm running cable with 9.2Mbps (speed through CoD) and i still get red signal without that search option fix.

Game is pretty fun, got my eye in and started getting somewhere, maps are pretty awesome, my favorite at the moment would be the one with the radar in the middle with snow. Just...there all decent. If anyones keen we should game tonight. I'll be playing so feel free to add me to a party.

Hmmm im not liking the gameplay - I had a decent hour or two on wagermatch yesterday and even though I won a few rounds, it was a push shit uphill because of getting shot in the back constantly! It seems to be a quake 3 style charging round like circus clowns.. Much like MW2.. Stop moving for 20 secs, and someone spawns behind you..

The respawn system is significantly WORSE than MW2, The amount of times I had someone spawn behind me yesterday on wager match was ridiculous. The game has ZERO tactics.. Im going to sulk off back to BC2 and wait for the Vietnam expansion.. (After maybe one or two more games..)

Any thoughts on the new Medal of Honour, any good? A flop? A COD imitation?
