Just discovered a comprehensive list of the bike products recalled in Australia over the last 10 - 15 years. Worth a look over.

Found 2 which almost applied to the contents of my shed. Just out by a year model or serial number range.
Genuinely surprised they didn't recall the rear hub.
The flange on my ZIPP 101's snapped off like a row of chocolate.
Catastrophic failure. Sounded like a gun going off. BOOM!

Only thing good about Zipp are their rims. Hubs are abysmal. Wish we could get just rims only....
 
I have a 2003 trek liquid 30 which is mentioned in that list as a potential injury or fatality if the quick release skewer comes loose it can open too dark and get wedged in the disc.

I reckon after 13 years if it hasn't happened yet.....

True. But you could get a free new quick release skewer for your trouble. Think of the performance gains. Might help make up for your paint.
