Gunmetal Evil Wreckoning Build Thread

So I've Eventually decided to go through with building an Evil Wreckoning. As I was after a long travel 29er as more of a "Quiver Killer" rather than a XC or DH beast.

Everything has been ordered and the Frame fork and Seatpost have been Preordered through Stu @ Defcon Cycles ( Aussie Importer)

So far the spec is:

Frame: 2017 Evil Wreckoning Size L in Gunmetal
Rear Shock: Monarch RC3 ( will eventually change to a Topaz)
Fork: DVO Diamond BOOST axle in Black
Handlebars: No idea, Will be using Deity blacklabels till I decide
Stem: No idea, Will be using a Straitline 32mm till I decide on a length
Headset: FSA x Evil
Grips: ODI Elite Flow ( Black)
Saddle: Specialized Henge Comp
Seatpost: KS LEV 150mmx34.9
Front Brake: SRAM Guide RSC W/ 200mm Rotor ( Black)
Rear Brake: SRAM Guide RSC W/ 180mm Rotor ( Black)
Cranks: Raceface Turbine 170mm w/ gray crank boots
Chainguide: The built in Evil one
Chain: Shimano Ultegra 11s
Pedals: HT X2 silver/gray
Rear derailleur: Shimano XT M8000 Long Cage
Rear Shifter: Shimano XTR
Cassette: Shimano XT 11-46T
Front Hub: I9 Torch 32h BOOST Black
Rear Hub: I9 Torch Classic 32h BOOST Black
Front Rim: Easton ARC 35mm
Rear Rim: Easton ARC 35mm
Spokes: Sapim Race Black
Nipples: Sapim Brass Black
Tires: F: Minion DHR 2 Widetrail R: Minion SS
Tubes: Whats a tube? Stans Sealant
Total Weight: No idea - will post when built
Other: Wolf Tooth Dropper Remote, 32/34t RF cinch chainring

The frames rougly 2 weeks away but everything else is on its way
The build kinda got accelerated as Stu gave me a killer deal on the frame, fork and post. Shoutout to Stu and hte great service him and Defcon offer

Is there a reason you are going with the long cage rear derailleur? Iirc the medium one works with the 11-46 cassette

better safe than sorry haha, i didnt realise a long cage worked with a 46t
