The Tuffy tyreliners arrived at work yesterday - SAME DAY delivery from CellBikes. That's awesome!
Cellbike do have unbeatable delivery in Sydney metro. They are also great in sorting out any issues afterwards.
I'll have the Specialised tyre tucked away waiting for you.

With tubeless, dont forget to carry TWO tyre levers for when you need to put in the tube on the side of the road... They're invariably way more of a pain to get off!!

Upside is you need to do it less. But more shed time required - the overall time spent faffing with tyres is I think a bit more with tubeless, but its in the comfort of your shed rather than on the side of the road.

I believe (from what I read) the Hutchison will be tougher than the Schwobble Pro One - but Ive still done plenty of gravel work and they dont seem to suffer from cuts much (on horrible quartz gravel even).
I've used the tubeless for a few years now, so know its foibles.

The schwobble pro one reviews as the fastest road tyre - but has poor wear. So it has a short life. I like the Hutchinson Fusion 3 tubeless tyres, roll fast, last well.

The Michelin Power Competition tyres just arrived. I can straight away feel that they will have much better grip than GP4000SII tyres, I reckon so anyway. The Michelin rubber has a tacky rubber feeling, and feels like it has some rubbery give. The GP4000sII in comparison feels less sticky, more plasticky and less natural give.

I can certainly feel how the GP4000sII rolls quick, its a harder slipperier compound that manages to feel artificial in some way. But the offside to that is less grip from the chilli compound. I personally don't like the GP4000SII tyres.

Once I've fitted and ridden the Michelin Power Competition 25mm tyres a decent distance I'll report back again.

And don't forget I will also be fitting ultra light MrTuffy tyre liners too, so that will be an interesting aspect. Never used anything like that before.

I've found them to wear pretty well, and I'm not averse to a bit of locked rear wheel action here and there. And time on gravel roads.

Either way I'm happy to trade life for stickiness.

I bought a road bike with Conti gp 400's a few years ago. Second ride on the bike I got caught in a down pour of rain, took a small corner on a bike path at a low speed, ran over some leaves and lost the front wheel.

That's a bummer. You had to buy a new wheel after just two rides.

I've always found the contis to be a more glossy, harder rubber. Never liked them but they are popular, probably because they do well in those stupid 'fast' tyres rolling resistance tests.

I'm just about to pop some 28c Power Endurance on the commuter. Interested to hear your thoughts on the Michelin's, I've been impressed by their MTB rubber.
