Looking for a hardtail that can handle more abuse than Mike Tyson's training bag? Then you have clicked on the right thread.

Item: 24 Bicycles Le Toy
Location: postage Australia wide included in sale price
Item Condition: 9/10 - a couple of minor chips from storage
Reason for selling: I'm not a hard tail guy
Price and price conditions: NOW $475! negotiable, postage Australia wide included in price.

Extra Info: I brought this a while ago as part of a bundle of parts. I was going to buold it up as a cheap town bike, but im soft. The frame appears to have had very little or no riding. There is a couple of small marks in the paint that probably came from storage. I can't find a lot of info on the internets about it. Here's what I can figure out:
  • weighs 2.9kg on my scales as photographed
  • 26 or 24 inch wheels. You might squeeze a 27.5 inch wheel in a max wheelbase, but I can not confirm.
  • BMX sized bottom bracket (no thread) 63mm wide
  • 1.5 inch straight head tube (49mm ID) will suit any current steerer options
  • 110mm long head tube
  • 30mm seat tube, ugly stub of kona 30mm post included
  • 34.9mm post clamp fits nice
  • 135x10/9mm rear hub
  • adjustable wheelbase
  • top headset cup has a smooth new feeling sealed bearing cartridge in it
  • seat tube weld to head tube weld measures about 500mm
  • stays are wide! Should be fitting a very fat tyre.

Actively pursuing a fast sale! If you think the price is too high, don't get angry! Shoot me an offer.

Can confirm it was never ridden. the guy previous had 5 other bikes. That was purely a project art piece.

Yeah, I would like it but unfortunately I have absolutely got nowhere to ride it.
Bike funds are low as I still need parts for the GT. I just can't bring myself to pull the v10 apart

Well one part of that is correct...the V10 is a supreme machine!

Lots of places to ride a fine frame like this

So what fork travel is this intended for?

Were there sizes? If so, what’s this?
Very good questions, that I can't really find an answer for. I've seen photos and videos of these bikes running anything from DJ forks up to big dh forks. No size info on the frame either. I measured the top tube along the top to be 500mm from head tube weld to seat tube weld. So between the seat angle and stem reach there is a bit of room to move and a low stand over.

They came in long and short. From memory this was a long one! There's no right or wrong on that frame. Just beauty.

Not that it probably matters a great deal but that's a different frame, Porn King maybe, dropouts are all wrong for a le Toy 4. I think I may have a geo chart on an old hard drive somewhere, will see if I can dig it out.
Yes please. A chart would be handy.

Yeah bike in creaky's Horn photo has horizontal drop outs, which the le toy did/does not.

Also not an official source but maybe this will help a little.
