Will 180mm -> 203mm rotor make a difference?

Thanks for all the bananas
I'm looking to uprate my front rotor from a 180mm RT-56 to a 203mm RT-66. Would this make much of a difference to my braking?

Good enough for me then :D

Sadly I can't stretch to an Ice-Tech rotor.

Out of interest, am I limited to Shimano rotors?

I've gone back to 180mm F+R after having 203mm up front. I don't notice much difference on both 2 and 4 pot brakes. 203 was probably more suited on the enduro bike, but for trail riding its not needed imo.

The 203s are FS on here, but think you're after 6 bolt not CL...

I notice more subtlety on the front with 203. Its not about power (only 75kg here though).
Rear I only ever run 180. Any more, and I just skid more. Felix runs 203 both ends on DH bike even though he brakes a lot less.

Yes, but probably only needed up front. Not needed out back (especially on a hardtail).

Yeah I want to keep the 180mm howler monkey on the back. I'll upgrade to a 4 pot on the front in time too.

Down on the left!
Hambo is it 6bolt you need? I have a Floating 203 Shimano Rotor I don’t need but it’s CL

they look better at least - but then it won't match your rear rotor, if you can live with that :)

I dunno how much ice-tech really helps, but all my rotors are ice-tech anyway.
