So the spacing on SRAM owned forks is specific to SRAM owned brakes, one of those bullshit proprietary things like trek and specialized love doing. It is really shit! You just need the right adapted to get around it. Yours is the one that goes with all the other forks (fox, manitou, Marzocchi, xfusion, and so on). The physical difference is small, but you won't get maximum brake pad to rotor contact with that adaptor.

There is no specific Rockshox or Fox adapter, it's just an adaptor made for a standard post mount.

I'd get a milk crate, duct tape some pillows into it and use an occy strap to keep it on the noggin.

Yep. Style points for yellow if you can get it. Slap a "stackhat" logo on it for more retro style points. It's not like anyone would be able to tell it's not.

Why can't we sell bikes with pedals? I understand seats as they can be so personal - but pedals are easily replaced and when I get a new bike I buy new pedals for the shiny every time. - I mean hey gimme 12k for this second hand bike but you cant have the pedals as they have sentimental value to me.
