I still don't understand how the shock mounting on the seat stays doesn't do horrible things to the shock on those designs though...

If I'm honest, I'm also a bit puzzled about those flex points on the chainstays being inline with the BB. It would seem there'd be no anti-squat at all and potentially be quite wallowly? Maybe the kickback from the inherent deflection negates this a bit?
