That’s ridiculous.
I get that elite is the only category...even if I think that the trend is heading towards e's worldwide, and they are out of step not accommodating it, but don't limit the age of the entrants. it's technically 19-29...does that mean a 30yo is also ineligible?
Let me adjust the rules ...
I'm not questioning your omnipotence, but already spoke to them, and was talking to the hand.

Yeah... if there's only one cat it should be Open not Elite. Also, they can have a Masters 10 75-79 category but not a Jr E-bike. Lol.

I have a spare bed now that they won't let Quinn race :(
Bring her along for some local riding? The local trails a bit north of GV are awesome. I may be able to play tourguide depending in time

Edit: not sure how much time there is between rounds that you would want to be around to watch the race

Appreciate it, but she wouldn't be so keen on that, and she won't travel 10 hours each way to sit on her own for 2 days watching Felix and I race. With a bit of notice, and not the week before Christmas, we could have made a bit of a family trip, but ICU nurses are kinda busy at the moment.

Didn't realise you were racing as well, I can see how that wouldn't work.

If she could enter, and needed my support, I'd pull out and help her, but I'll always race where I can. Have to redeem myself after coming DFL last nationals...

So about $1000 all up to confirm I'm possibly mid-pack, at best, in the 40+ age group. Enticing.
Look at this way.....you get more time on the track. I'm all about the value for money when I race.

And yes, $1000+ accommodation just booked. $300+ in fuel....but MTB is all we really do here. The kids don't play other sports or have any expensive hobbies. Felix podiumed at last National Champs, and won the state Enduro series 2020 and 2nd this year, so I'm more than happy to support healthy passions while I can.

Has anyone stayed in Sydney for the weekend? It costs more than that and in return you get lungfuls of benzine, and bellyfuls of shite food.

I'm staying 3 nights in Robertson. But now Quinn isn't coming, I'll find something smaller, even with just a shared double bed. Only place I could find the other day with separate rooms accommodates 6.

I was making the point that compared to staying in Sydney, your event seems like great value! Socialising, competition, exercise, fresh air. Definitely worth it!

You cant find something closer? Shellharbour or there abouts would be more convenient and a dip in the ocean or ocean pool after a day of getting dusty would go down a treat. Going up and down maquarie pass each morning and evening can't be fun (but it's nice to do it once for the scenery).

Edit: Save the effort and pass all the planning to some stranger on the Internet, I'll sort it out for you

Shellharbor was all booked out for Christmas the other day. Might find something smaller now though.

I camped on site in my van when I raced at GV last time. They were pretty accommodating. Water and toilets on site. Coffee cart etc. Short drive to albion park/shellharbour to get food. Beach isnt that far away for a revitalizing cold public shower.

If you need directions when you get there, it's pronounced 'Shlaba' in local parlance.
I tried to think of a witty defence and decided to think it over while walking the dog. I heard the fuckwit wheelying up the road on his unregistered trailbike again. Then I said hi to my toothless ex neighbours (thank fuck they moved themselves and their shitfull mess and shouting from next door)... I decided I don't need to defend that comment :)

We do have the whole range of the spectrum though, all sorts of fuckwits including myself, whatever that is.

Haha, I have quite a few connections north and south of Nowra. The whole area is very much the best and worst of things all at once. It’s a lovely part of the world; go the Dapto Dogs.
