COVID-19: who’s going full doomsday prep on this?

Haakon

Keeps on digging
Sore arm first time was about it, second one put me on my arse for a couple of days though. Third one coming up soonish i think.

Not unbroken for 3 months with the symptoms remaining pretty much the same for all 3 months.

I have 2 at 15 & 16, done my share of school bugs.
cold be 50 diff things, [eg whooping cough lasts for roughly 100 days -pand most adults do not know they have it] you would need Ig's analysis, complement proteins, prob a full allergy testing workup;
normal vaccines can't [read as shouldn't] develop into chronic illness, though we have no long term data yet for mRNA vaccines such as pfizer if people can/will have any long lasting effect

Out of interest did anyone else have zero (or near zero) reaction to their vaccination(s)?
Moderna. After the first shot had a really mild "squashing" feeling in my head, like a really mild hangover which came on about 8 hours post-shot, and cleared by the next morning. Sore arm kicked in the morning after & lasted a bit over 24 hours.

Second one had me a bit feverish for 5 or 6 hours early the morning after. However thanks to having glandular fever about ten years ago I have lifelong Epstein-Barr virus, which is normally dormant but can flare up if the immune system is distracted. The opportunistic little shit did exactly that and steamrolled me for the next week.

I had AZ.

First dose - following day stiff arm and took a half hour nap at lunchtime.
Second dose - slightest discomfort in the arm.

Side effects so mild over all I am worried I may have got a dud vaccine.

Sore arm and a bad night's sleep (normally sleep very soundly) for both Pfizzers for me, both symptoms slightly worse for the second dose. Otherwise nothing.

I don't have whooping cough.

The Doc said that the vax has been known to knock some peoples immune systems around.

Just got the bloods taken and will see what he says in a few days.

yeah i had this concern. Looked into it and learned that how we react to vaccine doesn't necessarily translate to how we will react to the virus. Thought that was weird, but after lots of interesting reading on the subject just have to accept the science.

Ive been dealing with an undiagnosed respiratory issue for about a year now that doesnt seem to want to shift (yess seing a respiratory specialist for the same period). SO i have a concern that if I get covid, i could get seriously ill.

me zero response , though i may/may not have gotten the injecting individual to substitute saline for antigen ;)
You’re no better at joking than you are at being genuinely wrong.

That said, you doing this purely to be contrarian and thinking it’s clever totally tracks.

I was being serious, genuinely had not 1 symptom post vaccine:

2nd part was a ref to a major sydney hosp when i was a trainee - someone stole copious amounts of morphine for approx 5 months - the patient complaints were only investigated after too many complained their pain meds weren't working -it was writtten up as sooking patients who wanted more jungle juice [put yourself in that category, its good stuff if you cna get it] ..the morphine had been replaced with saline -some clever dick made themselves some good cash on the blk market, only when they tested some ampules it was confirmed morphine = 0-0.1mg/L

I didnt even need to spend a day studying medicine or even pretend I am Interwebz Physician to diagnose I had no whoop or cough.
#1 you know adults don't whoop right? #2of the outbreaks i have seen maybe 99% of adults were shocked to hear they had whooping cough, why becasue of point #1

just like people can't believe they had parvo virus, doesn't that effect dogs, yes but some parvo viruses can also infect humans

Forget the whoop, I have no cough at all.

A dry throat, phlegm and a bit of snot.

This started a couple of days after my 2nd shot, so the 16th August.

I've mentioned here a few times since my 2nd shot that I had a bit of cold symptoms and 'I' put it down to the Pfizer as the same happens after a flu jab.

3 months is taking the piss so I went to the Doc yesterday, he is a medical professional and specialises in mens health, a very good one at that and I have been seeing him for many years. He's a popular man as he owns the practice with about 12 other Doctors working there and does a lot of consultation, it took me 4 weeks to get in and see him and he also suspects it may be my immune system reacting to the Pfizer... so has got me to do a full bloods and put me on a strong vitamin intake.

I'll keep yous posted.
