Little Things You Hate

Organisations that hold races - like those who held an event at Stromlo today - that don't take the bunting down after the race. When I rode at around 5pm, whatever the race was, it had obviously been over for some time. Yet all their bunting and barricades that cut across tracks, cut off particular lines, etc. had all just been left in place. All those who were riding the taxpayer funded facilities would come flying around corners to find obstacles in our way. Selfish and stupid behaviour.
Yeah I’ve seen that before. It shouldn’t be much to ask that someone rides the course after the last racer has been through and pile all the bunting into a backpack…

I hear you @johnny ! And the amount of rubbish left behind is often significant as well. I posted on here about a specific event a few years ago and tagged the organiser in my rant as they were members. They gave me a real indignant pissy pants answer and still isn't really clean up the trails. In the end a bunch of local kids enjoyed playing with the left over witches hats.

Thats how the Rally or Khanacross days work, from your corner on the roll through to the exit, take every bit of bunting you see as its not only hazardous to wildlife, but also can hinder truck routes etc.

This is why I try to remove fallen tree's when I see them, someone posted this vid on my local page. No one will move it, they'll just keep on riding around it and damage more vegetation, even with the bog holes. Then they wonder why councils are regressive to new trails.

I bet those grapes were sour anyway!
The amount of people I know that took the plunge early in life, never got to do the things they wanted and thoroughly enjoyed every Little story that I shared about my life is amazing. They actually had a life they never imagined (ruined) whilst I was living a rather full life
I find it strange anyone would get married, just my thoughts.
PLEASE ask your wife if you are allowed to keep commenting :D

This reflects very poorly, though unsurprisingly, on the company you keep. ;)

Not really, it reflects a society that expects compliance, the need for people to be the same as everyone else.
The amount of people that have told me how I should get married is crazy. If it's so good you shouldn't need to push it on people.
Marriage should be like hard drugs, no need to convince others to do it, just do it

Day 9 of the spicey cough in our house and my daughter tests positive. She was allowed back at school today with a negative test. She's had a cough for weeks but always tested negative - we thought she contagion monkey and had got over it - seems not. This is fucked.

All ribbing aside, who is pushing anyone to get married these days? Remove religion from the equation, that’s an entirely different matter, but is there a push to do it these days at all? Maybe, but if so, I don’t see it.

It's the same as drinking alcohol, you must do it because it's the accepted thing to do.
Yes, people still think it's strange the a mid 50s isn't married or hasn't been.
Yeah, it's not as bad as the drinkers trying to push glasses of booze on you though, now that is truely strange

A lot of people I meet for the first time assume I'm married. It's not "pushed" as such (outside of religious folk), but clearly the expected "norm" for a mid-thirties male. Which I find ironic given divorce rates these days.

I'm not against the idea in principle, but also don't feel any "need" to be. Find the right person, it'd be nice. But I'm not holding my breath...
