When the fuck did a schooner hit $13!!!! Is it the mining boom mk2 in Sydney?!!!
All part of the experience whilst listening to the toot-toot of the harbour ferries :)

No toot-toot over here, just an occasional hoon doing a burnout with your $6.70 schooner (SA Pint)

Merry fucking Xmas to you assholes

In fairness it cost that much in Perth 10 years ago in mining boom mk1. Coffee prices in Sydney have finally caught up too.

Hemmes must want a new Bentley.

The ladies that lunch also contributed healthily to that cause yesterday.

was it a IIPA or just a cranky?

Do NOT tell me that it was a pale. I couldn’t , I just couldn’t.
Actually I lied. It was a Wood and Stone IPA. I had the Bentspoke Witbier last night.

I know they frequently do well in the GABS hottest 100, but I’ve never had a Bentspoke beer I liked

10-12 bucks is pretty standard for a schooner of crafty stuff.

I love Crankshaft (GABS winner last couple of years), but it can get a bit meh after a while. Had some Red Nut recently, underrated for sure.

Might be the age of it. It's not common in WA unless you go and see Uncle Dan and tbh, most of what I drink is local - $20 - $30 a 4-pack depending on what it is. It's not only cheaper but generally fresher and now a lot of local stuff is at Liquorland (if I can't be bothered going to a specialist). I even got a 4-pack of Cheeky Monkey WCIPA for 22 canned at the end of June. The specialist bottlo I went in near the brewery last week wasn't much better

100% the age, a good buddy of mine is their QC guy and they've been working hard on how they can make it stay fresh for longer, still working on it. Any time I've had it from a low turnover store (as in a store that mostly sells VB) there's a noticeable difference, and a couple of times oxidised to hell. When matey rocks around with cans that were packed that afternoon though, damn it's good.

Reckon thats half the trouble. If I can get to the east coast, I'll see if I can find it but until then I'll stick to my nicely unoxidised local stuff!

The consistency of cranky and sprocket is shit. Rest seems ok, though.

Veltins Pilner is a great drop. Had it when I was in Germany for a training course in 2014. Haven't found anywhere to buy it in Australia though so, BOOOOOO!

On that note, any good options for buying overseas beer and importing it in?
