    Little Things You Love

A Scotty Boland hat-trick and a Crats 5-fa in 15 balls, all out for 27 while I eat breakfast.

    Little Things You Hate

I dunno if this is a little thing, but its something that increasingly irks me... Firstly, Uber Eats. And not even the delivery part of it, but when you want to physically go order something and eat it at the restaurant and there is a sea of people with phones waiting to pick up orders. So it...

    The bike industry crisis

Same here - and after a couple years away from it all, I can’t say I’ve seen any new bikes that are any better than what we’ve had for a while

    The gaming thread

Recently finished a play through of Stalker 2. Got the game at launch with all its jank and slowly chipped away at it over 6 months and multiple patches. Really enjoyed it - highly immersive environment and mostly great combat. Will dive in again down the track. Got through some games last year...

    The stupid questions thread.

I'm trying to get with the times! DH cranks would add to the overbiked / no idea theme. I already look like I stole the bike every time I get on it. So Pushys and MTBD still the same. Pushys new site is pretty horrible to navigate, at least MTBD put in the time to explain products and filter...

    The stupid questions thread.

Stupid questions, a series: Firstly, where do you get parts online in Aus these days? seems like more geoblocks for OS now and postage is ridiculous. I am looking at new cranks. Is 165mm working well for most people? Are oval chainrings demonstrably more efficient? Can I find something that...

    Need a new MP3 music player…

I know its just over $100 (and you'll likely need to add sd card), but these get great reviews https://addictedtoaudio.com.au/products/fiio-snowsky-echo-mini-music-player?variant=41588534673542 They may not do gapless though, which could be a dealbreaker.

Also this bike has had a DVO Diamond instead of the Sapphire for quite a while now too: A bit overkill for the northern Centenary Trail, but we are starting again with a very low bar here...

Bankwest should still be 0 fees. I've not paid a cent in annual fees or international transaction fees for a good 8 years or so now.

    Need a new MP3 music player…

ipods are still really good. I've recently rebuilt two classics (5th gen and 6.5 gen) and given them flash storage, 2000 and 3000 mAh batteries, new screens and cases and then installed rockbox on them. Can sync my entire library without needing itunes or any of that crap, and can play .flac...

Just a little note to say that this poor bike was neglected for many years but is slowly coming back into service as I try to remember how to "mountain bike"... I did put some new bars on, with more rise, backsweep and width, and these have helped a lot with comfort and fit.
