    I prefer to buy new with droppers, because you never know how they've been treated (I never hang my bike by the seat with a dropper for example, - but most people seem not to worry)

    My trusty (but old) brand X dropper is showing signs of giving up the ghost. Does the brains trust have any leads on cheap reliable droppers since it looks like brand X doesnt exist anymore. 31.6, internal routing, cable actuated (with lever), 100-125mm drop. Thanks!

    Yep I've bought locally every time for the last 15 years, for all the reasons you mention - but this time not an option at all (Stooge - unless anyone knows different)

    Thanks - really apreciate your help. Looks like I am in for $300-$400 in additon to the cost of the frame from a rough skwiz at the calculators.

    So I'm consdering importing a frame from the UK to Melbourne - it will be c.$1700 shipped. What am I in for as regards import duties these days and is there anything I can do to reduce them? Yeah I'm being a bit lazy before anyone says it, but this is a reaaaaaallly long thread :)
