This would be the shrink wrapped rubber sleeve on spring working its way downward , just twist it back up to the middle of the coil spring again .

You need to pull the lowers off as the spacers are rearranged and slotted onto the spring plunger shaft in lowers to reduce travel .If you check out this link u will see how it works http://service.foxracingshox.com/consumers/Content/Service/Forks/40/40RC2.htm

So we need rego to help motorists ID us ? I think it would be far better to focus on getting suitable bike lanes .Its amazing how much safer it is to ride on roads with a painted line giving cyclists a couple feet of bitumen.
