Watch out if you go by yourself on some belair tracks, bush walkers like to drag logs across tracks, which aren't fun at high speeds. Some people have been fined, they were the ones stupid enough to stop though. The legal tracks are better though.

What cranks? Truvativ? Age of cranks? Try loctite, works sometimes.

Pads should be able to be removed to wash, all helmets even the cheap ones.
