I want to buy a LR power meter and they are all based on boost cranks.
Can I install a shimano XT boost crank in a non boost frame (11 speed, but that should be OK) and will it work OK.
Can I get a chain ring setup that works for this?

I am looking to get a stages power meter but can only get this on an XT8120 crankset. The rest of the bike is XT8000 boost with a press fit bottom bracket.
Can I just swap over the XT8000 with the XT8120 and will the 11 speed chain be OK with the 12 speed gear?

I went from 2.1 to 2.4 tyre width and that was pretty good, so going to 2.8 seems to be worth considering.
I've got an Anthem 29er and the 27.5+ mid fat conversion seems appealing (although maybe just upgraditus more than anything else). Some info on MTBR, but good to see what has been done...
