It's nothing compared to what some of you guys have gone through, but this is the damage I received from my crash this past weekend.

Wow guys, Solosite gel is awesome stuff. This is the difference in just one day from yesterday to today (Day 4). Expecting fresh baby skin any day now. My knee on the other hand, seems to be infected? It's very sore to the touch still with little bits of yellow discharge.

My two bobs, I haven’t ever twanged my shoulder in many years of riding, tennis and golf(?).. Somehow a few months back I did something to my rotator cuff.. Went to the physio and he says it’s a strain which felt about right for the level of pain. But 2 months on the fker still aches.. It reminds me of a sprained ankle, it just goes on and on and on and on and on.. I reckon ribs ache less after a couple of months..
Can only imagine the crap some of you blokes have been and going through with shoulders..

So I had an appointment with a specialist yesterday, it seems this is going to be a much longer road than initially eluded to.

3 months till I can drive
6 months till I can work (plumber)
12 months till I can ride MTB (wtf!)
Mate, I'm sorry to hear this.

But in my experience riding is usually OK, what the doctors mean is no crashing ;)

@moorey How’s your back problem tracking?
Really well thanks. Cortisone for a week reduced the disc inflammation and fluid, and gave me my right leg back. I’ve actually had very little discomfort for the last week, which makes me forget to take it easy. Doc is overly cautious, telling me the usual stuff I should never do again (twisting, bending, leaning), but being sensible, there’s nothing I can’t currently do, or anything I’m likely to have to give up.
Carefully chopped a little bit of wood this morning (Felix lifts and loads), and had a roll around the driveway on the bike testing Felix’s gears. Planning some gentle km’s next week.

Long story short, hope to have dodged a bullet, and feeling like a bit of a fraud. Was meant to be off work this week, but haven’t even used the sick leave. Was probably a good eye opener that will have stopped me doing the stuff that has got me here in the past.
