The LOONIES are loose...

One woman, who claims to be a teacher, said she had evidence the virus was created in the 70s.

“They want to force a global microchip of humans and mandatory vaccination, it’s all written in the New Testament," she told the crowd, according to the Herald Sun.

“We do not consent.”

Conspiracy theorists believe Gates is connected to the pandemic.

If anything, Covid19 has shown the de-evolution of the monkey descendants.

I listen to the 'awoken' and it just makes me cringe in the end. It seems to get ratched up the stupid scale the longer this whole sorry fiasco goes on.

So...is it just me or do others feel that ScoMo's really rushing some aspects of this re-opening? The main one that shits me at the moment is the talk around getting foreign students back for second semester. I thought we were isolating this shit?

Everything feels weird & rushed right now. The govt's biggest issue will be reopening & then having to deal with an increase in COVID19 which means returning to lockdown.

The average peep will be increasingly restless.

I'm not, I growing to appreciate social distancing...

Hey to those that hoarded supplies and predicted social breakdown; how are you feeling now? Have your opinions changed at all, or are you still choosing to stock up on things?

I can handle not having cafes and bars to go to every night, kind of. I'm sick of cleaning up after myself though. But fuck I'd like to have a job! Or some of that sweet money for nothing...other than not having anywhere to go at night and not much income Life is fairly normal. I'm mostly a loner and I'm riding and fishing more than usual.

Still the idea that it's not safe for us to travel, but it is ok for students to come jumps out as ludicrous. We usually have a lot of foreign students around town here and due to the economics of student life they tend to get packed in their houses like sardines. If there is a flare up it will spread far and wide very quickly.

I've been hesitant to even drive out to Sparrow/Kowen from ACT the last couple months...this sort of shit (and flying out a whole team of braindead rugby players from NZ) just does my head in. Totally sends the wrong message to everyone else.

I don’t know who this guy is ... random find.

interested to know if any of you lean towards his thinking? Or even aspects of it ... Message if you’d like to keep it private ... I’m just interested to find info on what has made you lean this way. Is it readings? Research? Social media? I don’t know what else

this is completely logical to me, yet also utterly alien thinking or at least concluding, if that makes sense ... but I would like to broaden my views ... read; better understand where this info is coming from, as it seems to be more wide spread and more strangely ... I’ve heard it from friends that are both left and right leaning ... yet I wouldn’t consider this a centrist paradigm.

please tag me if replying ... no way to track comments given the volume and flow of this thread. Thx

@Nerf Herder, I got 2 minutes in, and couldn’t...it’s what I hear over and over from people who have a faux libertarian chip on their shoulder. They want all the perks of a society, but don’t want to play their part if it’s slightly inconvenient of has a cost to them.
This guy doesn’t strike me as one one them, and his message may have evolved if I continued to watch, but I can’t.
We live in a very free county. Some of the rules forced upon us are there to protect us. Most are there to protect others.
There are bad actors out there spinning lies. I called my mum today...as you do. I lost my grandmother a few months back (mums mum). Mum was really upset she couldn’t go alone to grandmas grave today. I asked why not. She said police will fine her and possibly charge her. I said that wasn’t true. She said she heard it had happened to someone. I asked who. She said she’d heard about it from someone. She then stared she’d heard that Dan Andrews had intentionally waited till after the weekend to inconvenience people over Mother’s Day.

I decided not to argue with her. It’s Mother’s Day after all. But this is what we are dealing with.

Definitely should have gone to specsavers
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-05...vid19-recession-recovery-generations/12231918

This article suggests that Australia can no longer rely on high levels of migration to drive economic growth in a post-covid recovery period. Instead, we should be taking the 'unprecendented opportunity' presented by COVID-19 to reset our economic trajectory to one centred around achieving our zero-emissions target:

The Australia Industry Group, which represents more than 60,000 businesses, said the Government ought to tackle the economic crisis and the climate crisis at the same time.

"Two of the biggest questions facing us today are how do we restore growth following the pandemic, and how do we make a successful transition to net zero emissions by 2050," Ai Group chief executive Innes Willox said in a speech last week.

"Answering these questions together can boost our growth and put it on firmer long-term foundations."

If ever there was a time to toss out the pyramid-scheme-policy of 'growth driven by growth for growth's sake' and replace it with a 'prosperity through sustainability' approach, it is now.

Lol. Bloody socialist nonsense, we need to give big business more tax breaks and leverage our coal and gas resources to drive recovery. Trickle down FTW. Privatise the ABC to stop them spreading such unpatriotic filth.
