Yes i am looking at a good mounting option for my Ute (style side type tray) because yes i will take the bike around to other locations. But i have seen at the local shops there are some good mounts i can get, i will just have to work out which is the most practical and cost effective.
I will...
Yes it. I know the trance is going to be overkill but there are opportunities around me to make god use of it and i only can afford one good bike. As you mention about the 27.5 not being the best climber that is why i am considering to compromise and go for a trance 29er to get the best of both...
I will be taking the 27.5 and 29er for a ride tomorow on the local trails and see how they are going. I do like the idea of a trance 29er from what the local stires has told me but with what i am getting from here i will have to test them both. The 29er for its nore snoother ride going ober...
Thanx for the reply. Yea thats sums up about what i was thinking. Go the trance to have to downhill capabilities but with a 29er for good xc performance. Yes we are pretty lucky to have these tracks uphere so i want to finnaly Take advantage of them.
Thanx, I will have a look. checking them out right now. Looks like I might have to spend a little more with them to get a mid or higher end tier bike. or that's what it looks like
Yes, that sounds like a good plan. I will still try to have sit on the 29er as well to see how the size difference feels but the good thing is they both come tubeless already:)
yea I am definitely looking aroun on facebook, gumtree and other places. there are second-hand bikes available here just no allot so its a bit of a hit n miss.
I guess I will have to sit on the 29er and 27.5 and see if it feels too big. I tend to look at my self as a medium size person.
Ee
Thanx, I will have a look. I am located near Cairns on the tableland. the main bike retailer is a giant retailer up here but i will have a look online at the polygon bikes.
yes, I will have to test them out. at least I have a bit of an idea as what to expect. Sadly the local store does not let us test the bikes but there is another store 2h ours away which I might hit up o the weekend.
Would the 29er make it much harder to go up the hill? because I know that they...
Thanx for the reply, i did look at some other brands but i have been told by a few local riders that with Giant i will get more bang for buck at this level. Where other brands have really good bike i would pay much for for the same type of gear, but thats what i uave been told. And yes there is...
Yea that makes sense. I guess the main thing (apart from xc) I was worried about was how well the trance 27.5 is for hill climbs due to having a bit more of an angle on the forks and more give in the suspension, but I guess that's why I can change the hardness with a switch and not have to work...
Hi
So I am ready to go to my local shop o the weekend a pick u a new bike. after all the research I have decided on going with a Giant bike and I am stuck deciding between the Trance and Anthem. I know that the anthem caterers a bit more for racing and the trance more towards downhill. The...
Thanx for the help so far looking at and compering some of the brands and types. yea i think a freestyle bike would work fine. now just have to finde the right one. probly gonna end upspending a bit more. having a look at some norco ,scott, giant and Kona bikes.
Hey thanks for the replay. Yep defiantly down hill. We have some good tracks up here. Problem is the bike store is trying to make money off me and not help me so iam here for advice. I also like cross country rides and was hoping there was a bike I can use for a few tasks rather having to buy...
