Sounds to me that you're upset you spent all that money but couldn't get any benefit. Whether my benefit is real or perceived, what benefit is it to you to prove me wrong?
When at the power stage of the pedal you're effectively two teeth below the chainring number and two above when in the opposite.
So a 32 tooth oval (which I have) is a 30T/34T depending on position.
It's noticeable when cranking up pinch climbs of which there are many around Smithfield!
As it's a cinch interface then you're free to rotate as desired but there is a crank arm indicator to position it according to their specs. Same with my old Burgtec oval chainring.
I don't know what the criteria for fitting a dropper is for a gravel bike - a lot come with solid posts, most others are around 100mm, unlike mtb which generally come with a decent level of drop for all but the most basic of models.
It's a piece of shit, what kind of ghoul specs a 50mm dropper?
I'll be on the lookout for a Thompson set back seat post or similar. As long as its seat clamp is easy to adjust and it doesn't slide down the seat post!
If I remember correctly it was a lot of barrel adjustment and resetting the post and actuator.
It eventually gave up the ghost though.
I reckon it was shitty bottom bracket routing.
Homemade tangy coleslaw -
Green cabbage
Red cabbage
Honey
Apple Cider vinegar
Olive oil
Dijon mustard
Also added -
Black rice
Spinach
Mushrooms
BBQ chicken thigh (add whatever rub is available)
I eat this every lunch time and it fills me up until dinner.
I eat a decent amount of red and green cabbage, black rice and spinach with my chicken.
I'll take a photo at lunch time :)
I have some orange flavoured Metamucil at home too but not tried it yet.
I've gotten the riding position just right at the moment but I had to put the dropper back in as it's impossible to make small adjustments to the saddle with the Ali carbon post.
Unfortunately the dropper post slides down the seat tube after 20 minutes or so of riding. I've thoroughly cleaned...
So I'm back on the wagon!
I'm finding that Miso soup is a good way to stay full until lunchtime.
I've steered away from energy drinks, Tim Tams, Pringles and Maltesers so far..
I'll weigh myself tonight and see how I'm tracking.
Tell me about it!
I keep visualising how much easier climbing will be of I'm not such a heffer and close the fridge door.
It's easier when there's bite size healthy stuff around such as chicken or grapes.
I'm heading to the UK next April and I'm determined to be sub 100kg, and head to Bike...
