BIKE RACKS AND CARRIERS FOR CARS MEGATHREAD - all questions asked and answered here

Put the pinch bolt through the lhs to tighten the rack. On the rhs, it's torque is trying to lift the rack and if it bounces at all it can come loose. I started making vertical racks in 2010 and copied the spring nut idea and a couple of others to try. Spring nut is the cheapest and easiest or...

    The bike industry crisis

Rangers are a low level security guards at best, treat them as such. Don't give your details to them, they can't make you do anything.

Motorcycle Thread - Post it all

It started life as a 1989 GSXR 750. The short list is, T28, XR6 intercooler, 1100 clutch, 1996 swinger with 200mm extensions, 2002 GSXR1000 forks. Long list includes everything to make it work and many hours of machining the custom parts. The tank is the only part I haven't modified and the...

Motorcycle Thread - Post it all

I dusted of my bike and went for a blast yesterday, so good to ride it. Still beats everything off the line I can find, pretty good for a 36 year old bike with a couple of minor mods.

Metal Working! Fitting, Machining, Welding, Sheet and General Metal Fab

I used to make them at my last job, I only put a single fold down the center though. Being a "V" it would fit all the different types of tyres from wide to skinny.

Metal Working! Fitting, Machining, Welding, Sheet and General Metal Fab

I have a SWS Tig 200 it's got to be 10 years old now. It's a good thing. Bloke is just out of Wang. Anything from razor blades to 10mm Aluminum. Mostly used on my bike frames, thin wall chomo and now doing panel work on my car. Foot peddle is the best.

I know guys who won't go to car shows anymore because of the airtag problem. Others stop somewhere and check under and over the car before going home. Shit times.

    The bike industry crisis

I worked for a company that was taking orders and either deposits or a large percentage of the product in this exact situation. We found out when the doors were locked when we got to work. Shit people don't care about you.

    Warburton trail updates

I think fitness levels might have something to do with my thoughts. Having seen the trail changes over the years and existing trails being rebuilt, they seem to be catering to the new trend of bike.

    Warburton trail updates

Definitely is built for e bikes. So are all the new parks it seems ..... I went up and had a look at the old DH tracks, I'll have to ride them before they get touched up (dumbed down) and become part of the park.

Everything seems fine unless you're putting a Ford motor in a Holden or the other way around.

Blow through or draw through? Pics? My plan is triple carbs and blow through the same as the bike.

Toyota 1UZ V8 4.0L was a serious thought. Fantastic motor (6 bolt mains) and make easy power, 600 HP with free flowing exhaust and a good inlet. Poor things are held back from factory. I'm sticking with the red motor, have had a 1UZ, LS, RB30, 350chev and commo V6 all over the years to drop in...
