    Crank to chainstay gap

Yes it’s a Unite UK crankset, not much of a taper on the arm/axle interface. I will have another test fit and see just how much axle/arm interface is being lost.

    Crank to chainstay gap

Agreed... the drive side is good to go... I really can't remove the spacer from that side or else the chainring is too close to frame. That pic is a little deceiving because of the chainstay protector, but it's got a good 6-8mm clearance. It's only a 32t too, if it was larger I think I might...

    Crank to chainstay gap

Whoa okay that's a nice big gap on either side. Are there any spacers used? And if so are they between the frame&bb or the bb&crankarms?

    Crank to chainstay gap

ah yeah that's what I was trying to describe "asymmetrical stays" Cool yeah that's actually really helpful.... just trying to gauge what is 'normal-ish'... I know that currently the non-drive at 2-3mm is just way too close, thinking 5mm would be pretty safe in terms of never worrying about a...

    Crank to chainstay gap

Cool thanks all, I will tinker with it more this weekend. Thé Chainstays are a bit strange on the Propain drive to nondrive - they’re not identical. @pink poodle you have like 47 bikes right?hahah What would you say is like thé average crank arm to Chainstay gap? I checked my partners...

    The Brig

Just my 2 cents on The Brig… ordered a XO derailleur and XX1 chain and was delivered speedy (about a week). Everything was mint and works perfect but there was no SRAM packaging, instructions, warranty info, etc… just the parts bubble wrapped and boxed. I’m cool with that personally but yeah it...

    Crank to chainstay gap

Thanks for the help! The BB is a: Cane Creek Hellbender 70 Bottom Bracket - BSA30 - 68/73-30 - black The frame is a 2021 Propain Tyee Al 5... which is a 73mm as far as I can tell?

    Crank to chainstay gap

Howdy all, looking for a little advice. Installed a new Cane Creek BB 30mm and installed my cranks. I used the 2.5mm spacer that came along with the BB on the drive side (between the frame and bb) and that crank arm looks mint, about 8mm gap from the chainstay, but the non-drive crankarm is...

Removing a stubborn Sunrace XD adapter sleeve

Removing a stubborn Sunrace XD adapter sleeve

I’ll try a breaker bar tonight maybe with a little heat and see what happens. I do have spare XD and HG cassettes I could sacrifice but neither fit this goofy sunrace adapter

Removing a stubborn Sunrace XD adapter sleeve

yeah I hear that, was hoping not to have to drop another $150-200... I will probably end up destroying this one before resorting to buying new just out of spite and stubbornness.

Removing a stubborn Sunrace XD adapter sleeve

Picked up a secondhand rear wheel with a Hope Pro 4 hub and the previous owner had a Sunrace cassette. Told him I didn't need the Sunrace cassette so he removed it but left the son-of-a-#&@$h adapter sleeve stuck over the XD driver of the Hope hub. I've been battling with this thing for like 6...

    31.6mm Reamer for Seat Tube

Okay just checked and I’m wrong, it’s a X0024F7L4X Mxfans High Speed hand Operated Reamer Specs say it’s from 29.5 up to 33.5mm so it should work fine for you, you can just adjust it to suit your exact size you need. I remembered we did have to get creative with the tap handle as it’s not...

    31.6mm Reamer for Seat Tube

I’ll double check tomorrow but I think mine will be too narrow… it’s made for a specific range and we all used it to go from 30.0 -> 30.9 I’ll double check what it expands to and let you know though
