I felt it. Sitting up in bed reading I heard what sounded like possums running around in the roof space. Then the wobbles began and I realised that was no possum. Felt two distinct waves, then the garage next door groaned.
Thinking as an ex-racer, nah. Shit aero 'cos too upright, too heavy, especially unsprung with the internal gear hub, and too much suspension compromise/arsing about to set up for eight different riders.
I'm pretty sure all Shimano 4-pot calipers use the same size pistons. The M8020 XT 4-pot is exactly the same caliper as M820 Saint, just coupled to the M8000 levers. M8120 is a mild evolution.
Measure the internal diameter as is. In proper form it should be 41mm, It looks like there are remnants of some sort of adaptor stuck in there, so it may be salvageable. An ID less than 41mm will confirm it. BSA threaded is around 35mm.
My ride is a 559 (keep the measurements real please!), tried a few 622s but only found one or two that felt OK, keep that size for road. Rode a few 584s & I could get along alright with them; would be my go-to if 559 completely fell off the planet. Dunno what the ISO is for so-called 32", but...
George Russell on the F3 test red flags: "I was surprised they had 19 red flags. Then I drove it on the sim and was surprised they only had 19 reds."
MAD-ring indeed.
