    RIP Steve Worland

As a MBUK reader of 20 odd years I was sad to see this news this morning "One of the longest serving UK bike journalists and Singletrack bike tester, Steve Worland has died of a heart attack at 58. Steve began writing for MBUK in the early 90′s and built a solid reputation for his expert...

If you were ever worried about GoPro being strong

http://youtu.be/QrxPuk0JefA A go pro free falls from an aeroplane, survives, then gets eaten by a pig whilst still filming! The cool thing about this is at one point the rotations marry up with the frame rate and everything steadies up.

    Riding switch

I've recently come to the conclusion that my complete inability to ride switch (bad foot forward) holds me back a bit. Does anyone else feel the same? Has anyone had this issue and overcome it? I can't even lift the front wheel with my left foot forward, everything feels weird and unnatural.

Is there a negative side to a clutch mech?

Whilst looking at another thread I was considering the effect of chain growth on short cage mechs and a thought came to mind. With a clutch mech the spring force holding the chain taught is much higher than on a non-clutch mech, when suspension on most bikes compresses this causes chain...

    Star fangled f@#$ nut

So I think the inside of my steerer has trouble holding onto star fangled nuts as I'm now having issues with the 2nd one in a row. I've never had any issues with them in the past but I've always had straight 1"1/8 steerers and this is a tapered jobbie. 1. Is there such a thing as a crap star...
