Love hearing these guys talking about the trail features and how they break them down. The cool thing is they sound just like the rest of us scoping out new trails and enjoying the thrill of nailing something new only on way more insane trails than I will ever attempt.
Take your bikes. Check out Budget Truck Hire at Launceston airport, they do pretty good prices for either a van or ute. Pick up some supplies on the way through Launceston.

I've been using this for a few years. Fits accessory number plate. Used a couple of webbing straps to hang it under my previous Yakima Hold up and now on my Yakima Stage 2 rack.
Had 12 months of riding MTB on a SRAM XO1 chain doing 30-50km a week and my chain is still OK according to my basic chain measuring tool.
I wipe my chain after every ride with a dry cloth and it has remained amazingly clean.
Really only reapplied after a wet/muddy ride as per instructions...
I've been using Silca Synergetic and it has been outstanding. Seems expensive but you use so little of it, its going to last quite a while.

Maybe they should just run a...
How do you go with security? Maybe I'm a bit paranoid but it looks easy for someone to pull the 2 pins and walk off with the rack when you are out riding. Is there anyway to lock/secure the rack to the pivot base? I guess you could remove the rack and put it in the vehicle if it fits.
I'm looking to update my hitch mount rack to accommodate the new bike with 1300mm wheelbase. Only after a 2 bike rack.
Prefer no frame contact as we have frame skin on our bikes and just not sure if this will warp under load on frame clamp style racks.
Really like the 1UP USA HD double which...
