    Trails around Wagga or Tumbarumba?

Better put my name down for Tumba jobs this spring! Lovely spot but existing trails mostly seem to cater to rail trail crowd

    Second Hand Bike Recommendation

100%. You’ll be wanting more travel in about three months if you get the Norco. This might make it six months before you want more travel and buy the 170mm bike you should probably just start with (Speaking from experience)

    The QUICK question thread.....

FWIW I just put my cushcore back in after a few months without. With an “enduro casing” I got multiple flats (basically every second ride) and with a “DH” casing the flats stopped but I destroyed my rear carbon rim. I’m about 75kg on the bike, ride mostly Canberra trails. Bike feels good with...

    Thredbo/Narooma/Eden Trip

Didn’t pay to shuttle at Eden but you can self-shuttle and there are at least two good trails from the top (prana and old tom) which are long enough (3-4km descents) that you could just session those for half a day or day and not get too bored. Rode past some blue flow trails that looked pretty...

VIC 2019 Giant Reign Advanced Frame L

What size shock does it take? And has anyone tried short-stroking these? Looks like it might make a fun “jib” bike with a 140ish fork if you can do it. Alternatively the Cascade link could help make it poppy…

Signa Sports with Liquidity issues .... (CRC/Wiggle/Probike/Nukeproof/Vitus)

I was feeling lucky, so I bought a 1/2 price dropper post from CRC on Friday. Got a dispatch email overnight. I won’t relax til it actually arrives, but they do still seem to be functioning.

ACT Small/Med half decent MTB wanted in Canberra

The recyclery (Gungaderra Homestead) is having a bike sale this Saturday. My brother will be running it and says he’ll give him a bike if there is something appropriate there (there usually would be). Will update if he finds something in the meantime

Thinking of giving a gravel bike a crack

Have you tried the Recyclery? (Part of Canberra Environment Centre). They should have a big box of 2nd hand stems and the price will be right if you find the right size. Worth a look if you are anywhere near Gungaderra Homestead

Thinking of giving a gravel bike a crack

Very much enjoying this thread. Anyhow, I reckon small wheels are the go for "gravel" - allows you to run bigger tyres without big weight penalty, or the centrifugal issues that 700c + big tyre suffers from on the road*. I have used 26*2.1 and 650b*1.75, 1.9 around Canberra region a lot (I live...
