What does your day look like?

The word you are looking for is 'recurring'.

    The stupid questions thread.

If you asked for a pint at my nearest NSW country pub... you'd get a schooner regardless. Mostly because they don't have any pint glasses.

    Little Things You Hate

    Little Things You Hate

My MF65 from the early 60s left the factory with 55 HP at the PTO. Whilst also weighing about 1,200 kg. Given that our new Kioti claims only 38 HP at the PTO but runs the same wood chipper much faster and with more oomph... ...your observation is probably still quite true!!!

It's not like you've got much choice in Mildura. Most of the dealerships are owned by just one of two companies

Metal Working! Fitting, Machining, Welding, Sheet and General Metal Fab

How much of either is required to service the needs of the Australian market? I'll wager it's small enough to be financially unviable compared to bringing it back in from Europe or Asia.

Metal Working! Fitting, Machining, Welding, Sheet and General Metal Fab

Yep. And at some serious scale too at the Tomago smelter, just north of Newcastle.

What does your day look like?

SX+ was where my thoughts were headed but as a cab chassis because tubs are hopeless. Same reason the Shark is off the list as it can't be had without and removing it oneself voids the warranty because of the hybrid gubbins underneath.

What does your day look like?

We put our eucalyptus leaf fall (we don't have any deciduous trees) into either rounds made of fence netting or a one of a few dedicated compost bays. After a year and some occasional turning... excellent soil improver and not so much potential fire carrying leaf litter.

Don't waste them!! Turn it all into 'leaf mould' - awesome for the garden!

What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

I was allowing for the ten second track stand at the top whilst thinking about how badly the next twenty seconds was going to go.

Whatever you can get locally from the usual players. That way if it bricks you can dump it on their counter and ask for another one. Personally, we just use a 100 Ah deep cycle RV battery in a home made battery box and a fold out Dometic solar I got a decade ago from the 4x4 shop near Autobarn...

What did you do TO / WITH / FOR your bike today!

I remember some serious thinking we made (for about ten minutes) about a gravity trail in that area...back in the day. We even dreamed up the name of the first 'trail': Thirty Seconds of Terror. Of course, what killed it was the Forty Minutes of Tedium required to get back to the top of the cliff...

Hang Onto Your Hats! A general extreme weather thread.

[ This is how weather forecasting works. Forecasts are not predictions. They are forecasts...in other words, best fucking guesses. 20 years ago, the best fucking guess was "it might rain today". I think I liked that better than what we have today with everyone trying to value add to the BoM...
