I have a hole in the tread of the tyre which wont stay permanently sealed. Has anyone used this type of plugging device to fix the hole and does it work?

Ridings great up here- I ride from Hallidays to Forster 3 times a week for work half fire trails half tar. Plenty of fire trails to the north of Hallidays plus there is the Kiwarrak and thats awesome.
