Yeah I agree, the STP does seem to be for a different market nowadays. The $750 price tag is steep but it was only $600 in store (FTR) when I purchased mine - which isn't too bad compared to the other frames discussed. I love my bike but what makes me sad is that CRC had the yellow nukeproof...

I purchased the frameset from fortheriders http://www.fortheriders.com.au/Products/Hardtail/giant-stp-2012-frame Other stores stock them aswell as custom prebuilt ones. gold hope hubs and fox 813 kashima are on my wishlist and will probably remain there considering the $$$.
