Yeah. I just think I will keep the clipless for easy xc and commuting. Flats on everything else!
Lucky for me. No audience. Even though I would've liked the bonus points!
Clipped in Wheelie gone wrong
I have just put together an old xc bike and decided to try clipless pedals. I managed to pick it up ok and I have been riding around no problem until yesterday....
On the way home from work I was mucking around and decided to chuck a wheelie. Bad idea. I am used...
This sounds great! The death of a lone rider near me on the weekend reminded me of the importance of something like this. I look forward to seeing how this goes!
Nice one guys! It was good to meet you in person jesterarts. I missed meeting the rest of you, way to many peeps on bikes. I managed to pull a 3:03. I'm pretty happy with that! But seriously, I'm just happy I made it to the bottom in one piece. Those hecklers do manage to get the nerves...
Getting pretty excited for this! So by the sounds of it I have to look out in c grade for:
Jesterarts on a Lapierre.
Mitch_302 on a red Rocky Mountain
And cheif_m on a Specialised or Raw Intense Tracer 2.

Switched my front tyre to a High Roller II 2.4. Changed the tube. Changed my front brake pads. Bled my front brakes. Cleaned and greased my front hub. It's like I got a whole new front end!
I'm in the same boat as you Jester. First timed race, c grade, pretty excited and probably by myself. I'll be on a mongoose teocali.

I'm keen for a ride this Saturday if anyone wants to join me. It's always better if shuttling happens. I have a bike rack and am happy to shuttle. I would also like to film this rock wall descent.

Great work Emerson and the PGMTB crew! It was good to come along and meet some people. I'm looking forward to what's to come.

I bought some cheap as clear safety glasses from my local hardware store. They seem to be working well so far. They do distort what you see a little bit around the edges but for a few bucks you can't really complain!
Changed my x5 rear mech to a XT short cage. This required changing to a different shifter too. Running a SRAM rocket. (I've decided I never want to rethread a gear cable ever again!) Cleaned chain and cassette. Greased hub.
Fitted Raceface crank and BB. Now I need either a new front mech or go...
