Manly Warringah MTB Club
After a break of several years 2009 sees a return of a DH race series for MWMTB Members, which will be run in conjunction with Western Sydney and Central Coast club rounds. The series will consist of 6 races. Dates and locations are:
8 March: Kurrajong, WSMTB
26 April: Ourimbah, CCOMTB
24 May: Ourimbah, CCOMTB
11 Oct: Pacific Park, WSMTB
25 Oct: Ourimbah, CCOMTB
15 Nov: Kurrajong, WSMTB
Directions to these tracks can be found on the Western Sydney and Central Coast club websites (www.ccomtb.org.au and www.wsmtb.com ). If you’d like to race but haven’t ridden these tracks or don’t have a DH bike, not to worry. Each track can easily be ridden on an all mountain bike.
We will aim to run the in same class system as WSMTB & CCOMTB. These are: A grade, B Grade, C Grade, D Grade, Open women, Under 15, Under 17, Under 19 and the Masters 1 & 2 (30-40 yrs), Masters 3 & 4 (40-50 yrs) and Masters 5 (50+ yrs). However, this may need to be refined based on participant numbers. If you’re thinking of racing it would be appreciated if you could let me know (at email: oxfordfallsdownhill@gmail.com) – this will assist greatly in finalising the class structure for our series.
