mate its hard to really say without pictures, if it is in decent condition and you have maintained it well like you say. A decent price would probably be 1500 at least. But a good idea is to look in the trading area for a similar bike, and go off that price.

If you want to actually sell it, you need to realise that MTB's depreciate fast for three reasons
  • The technology is always changing
  • MTB's get used and abused, and only have a limited lifespan
  • Regardless of what you paid for it, end of year discounts are big, and impact resale values.
This is a 2011 Trance X3 Brand new discounted down to less than $1600 http://www.bikeexchange.com.au/bicycles/giant/mountain-dual-suspension/giant-2011-trance-x-3/hawthorn/vic/100361646

nd there are lots of them for sale for similar prices as they try and clear old stock.

Unless you've made significant upgrades to major components, which it doesn't look like you have, you'll be looking at less than half of current retail to sell yours.

Good luck with your sale.

Hey, at least it got things moving in the trials section ( pretty slow around here ) .....
If your bike has been looked after and has minimal signs of wear, you may fetch $700 - $900 ( imo ) .. The 2012 models are basically filtering into the bike stores now, and as already said - they will want to move old stock asap so there really are some bargains to be had.
Also the Aussie dollar was around the mid 60 cents US mark in 09, so our buying power was poor - now its the opposite.
Cheers and good luck with it !!
