downloaded a pic of moorey's bruised arse
Scored a slightly munted bare Rune V1.5 frame off a fellow burner a couple of months back, had some ground out pivot faces that were a well known issue with a batch of these frames.
Resurfaced the worn areas with JB Weld steel epoxy.
Then faced them as smooth and square as I could with a Dremmel (actually, a sub $40 Ozito copy). Bought a new pivot axle and bushing kit to suit but it had all axles keyed so out came the Ozito again to grind off two of the keys.
Parted out the DH bike, kept some of the drivetrain, bars and brakes. Then a few weeks of sourcing bits for the build along with some kind loans to get me on track and here she is.
Frame: 2011 Mythic (nee Banshee) Rune V1.5
Shock: Rockshox Monarch RT
Fork: Rockshox Revelation RL Dual air tapered
Headset: Chris King i5
Stem: Thomspson Elite X4 60mm
Bars: Renthal fatbars 780mm
Grips: Shitty OEM lock ons
Brakes: Formula RO
Rotors: Formula 200mm
Wheels: Stan's ZTR Flow EX to Hope Pro II, tubeless
Tyres: Maxxis High Roller II, 26 x 2.4 DH casing
Cranks: Shimano XT
Pedals: Nukeproof Nuetron
Chainring: Fouriers 32T NW
Cassette: Shimano SLX 11-36
Chain: KMC something
Rear mech: Shimano Zee
Shifter: Shimano Zee
Seatpost: KS Dropzone, 385 x 125mm
Seat: SDG Bellair
Looking at a shorter stem, maybe 40mm Renthal Apex and some ESI grips as the next upgrades. Will swap fork when budget permits, Pike, Lyrik, Marz 350 or maybe an X Fusion. But for now, she does all I need from a bike given I can only justify one.
Also, I happened across the original owner of this frame, a fellow burner. He sent me this footage riding this frame in Peru.

Kind of nice to know some history.
